First of all, if you don’t play at any other poker rooms, don’t signup to Carbon Poker first. (We suggest you try Full Tilt, or Pokerstars first due to there superior software and huge player volumes) Volume wise there is not a ton of players. During peak times you could find around 500 cash game players and 2000 tournament players. The room is constantly growing however. Poker.VG tips this poker room as being a fast grower during 2008.
Software
What really sets Carbon Poker from most other poker rooms is the software. The tables have a very high end feel. It’s almost as if your sitting in a casino for real. I love the look of the metallic interface. Possibly the nicest I have ever seen. Great care and attention to detail was put into designing this software.
We are also particularly impressed with some of the more advanced features offered by Carbon Poker. There is a “rabbit cam” feature, which allows you to see the last card if you fold before the river. Another cool feature we loved was the ability to show your opponent one card. This has a very tilting effect if you show one card and he ends up calling (and losing)
Tournaments
All first time depositors automatically get entry into a weekly $1000 freeroll tournament. The site also boasts some good tournaments such as the Sunday $20k guaranteed which fetches an impressive prize pool and a considerable amount of entrants.

We were very impressed with the amount of games offered by this new room. Unlike many other poker rooms you can find some uncommon forms of poker. Carbon Poker would be a great place to learn some new games. Summary
Carbon Poker has a long way to go if its going to compete with the top rooms such as Pokerstars volume wise. However the site boasts some innovative features and one of the best pieces of poker software you will find. In the next year or so I would expect Carbon Poker to increase the amount of players playing there dramatically. This accompanied by the MASSIVE $500, 100% signup bonus and first depositor freerolls make Carbon a good addition to any poker players desktop icons.
